Tobors Talking Software was created by me, Bill McCarthy.

I am a grandfather and I wanted to make Learning to Read into something that my granddaughters (Haley, 4 and Alyssa, 2) would find easy to do. I also wanted to make reading fun.

I have done many things in my life. I started out as an elementary school teacher (so I do have some expertise in the subject other than being a grandfather). Then I was a police officer and after that I got back into education as a teacher in an private adult school environment.

I have had a web presence on the Internet since 1997.
